CAFCASS

Children and Family Law Court Advisory and Support Service
CAFCASS looks after the interests of children involved in family proceedings. It works with children and their families, and then advises the courts on what it considers to be in the children's best interests. CAFCASS only works in the family courts.

Offers mediation in all couple and family disputes, particularly those related to separation, divorce and parental conflict. Any issues can be addressed including those concerning children, finances and property. The aim is to help participants in the mediation to reach their own agreed decisions and plan for the future.
