• The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA): The SRA regulates all firms of solicitors in England and Wales.

• Resolution: Formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association. Resolution is an organisation of family lawyers who believe in constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. Clare Folgate is a long standing member of Resolution. Their website has useful factsheets on family matters.

• Children and Family Law Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS):
  CAFCASS looks after the interests of children involved in family court proceedings. It works with children and their families, and makes recommendations to the court based on what CAFCASS considers to be in the children's best interests.

• The Family Mediation Trust (FMT): FMT offers mediation in all couple and family disputes, particularly those related to separation, divorce and parental conflict. Any issues can be addressed including those concerning children, finances and property. The aim is to help participants in the mediation to reach their own agreed decisions and plan for the future.
